Services - Nutritional Counseling
Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive system that includes dietary/nutritional counseling. Chinese nutrition is different
from modern nutrition as it is based on concepts of the subtle energy known as qi instead of modern concepts of vitamins,
minerals and so forth. The goal in Chinese nutrition, as with all else in Chinese Medicine, is to balance yin and yang. For
example, an important consideration in Chinese Medicine nutrition is the temperature various foods generate when being digested.
Foods are classified as either hot, warm, neutral, cool or cold. Someone who is too hot inside, for example, will benefit
from eating more cooling foods. While this concept may sound strange as first, nutritionist all over the world hail the traditional
Chinese diet as being highly nutritious and well balanced.
